BLOWN FUSE ON THE INVERTER CAUSED REACTOR TRIP

Trip of the inverter no. 2 caused by the blown fuse resulted in the loss of power to the instrumentation bus II which supplies control power to the circuit of the auxiliary contatct on the reactor coolant pump no. 2 breaker, which serves as the input signal to the reactor trip logic. Loss of the control power generated "RCP no. 2 Breaker Trip" signal which in coincidence with P-7 interlock (above 10% reactor power) caused reactor trip.
The fuse was replaced and the inverter successfully tested. Plant was prepared for startup. All the safety functions were fully available.
Basis for rating:
Real initiator, expected (reactor trip) - level 0.
