REACTOR TRIP DUE TO MAIN FEEDWATER PUMPS STOP

Kori unit 3 was operated at rated power. During the routine surveillance, worker found that instrument air was leaked from bypass pressure control valve of condensate demineralizer.
Repair was begun without considering its influence because workers didn't know that this task might cause reactor trip.
Despite repairing a positioner of control valve was failed.
So all of the MFWPs are stopped by "Inlet Pressure Low' signal and reactor was tripped by S/G level 'Lo-Lo' signal finally.
There was no release of radioactive materials outside the reactor building and no unplanned exposure to employees.
Justification: As full safety functions were available, the event is rated at level "0" as per user's manual Part III, Table II, A1.
