From the publication:
Introduction This third edition of the report originally called 'Nuclear energy and the Third World' follows an article published in the WISE-bulletin vol. 2 no. 4 may/ June 1980. This article is also included in this report. This report gives facts about all parts of the uranium chain in third world countries. It also gives some idea of different treaties which are important at this moment and different contracts of the nuclear industry. In the first edition we were not able to give to full picture. In the second we still weren't. A half year later, after Odilia Boele, who worked on the first edition, went away from WISE, it became clear that a third edition had to be made. The changes are again important and I have the idea that process will never stop. Still, WISE hopes to produce the final booklet in print in March 1982. The information in this book is gathered from numerous sources. In the final book we will publish a lengthy resource list. Here I want to thank all those groups and persons who helped in finding the information. Especially Odilia Boele who laid the groundwork of this report. Please, read through this draft and tell me if something is wrong. This is the main goal of this publication. A note for people who want to quote from this publication. Off course we appreciate this very much but nearly all quotations I read from this draft were wrong! Please quote correctly and place a note with it that this is a draft so information still could be (somewhat) wrong!
