DRAFT PROOF OF EVIDENCE ON THE LOCAL ECONOMIC IMPACT 1. INTRODUCTION 1.1 My name is Robert Elliott. I am a senior lecturer in Economics at the University of Aberdeen. I hold a BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics and a Special Diploma in Social Science from Oxford University and an MA in Labour Economics from Leeds University. I am the author and editor of a number of books on labour market analysis and have frequently acted as a consultant on labour market issues to national and local government bodies. I am a consultant to the Centre for Environmental Management and Planning at the University of Aberdeen who have been instructed by the Consortium of Opposing Local Authorities (COLA) to evaluate the local economic impact of the proposed construction of Hinkley Point 'C'.
