0. INTRODUCTION

In order to investigate the possibility of storing radioactive nuclear waste in Danish
salt domes, ELSAM and ELKRAFT have carried out investigations of the Mors salt
dome.

The evaluation of the hydrogeological conditions in the deposits above the salt dome
forms part of these investigations. Recordings of hydrogeological data from the area
concerned form the basis of this evaluation.

Four hydrogeological wells have been performed as a part of this data recording. The
wells (E1S, E2S, E3S and E4S) have been drilled to the depth of approximately 550
m, and are situated in pairs with a mutual distance of about 30 m, at the two sites of
Elsøvej and Kildevej.
