Chernobyl 1986
Memoirs of an Estonian Cleanup Worker

Nine years ago, the nuclear disaster occurred in the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.
The author of this book was among almost five thousand sons of Estonia who were
forcibly taken there.

"I have thought for a long time that I must write about it, even if only in memory of
those companions who are no longer alive. Likewise, I write because these events
are also part of the never-easy history of Estonians.

I am relying here on my emotions as a participant of the lowest rank and if I happen
to err in something, I hope that my co fighters will forgive me for my weak memory."
