Australia's involvement in the nuclear industry
250 Reasons

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

This report exposes the Australian Government's support for the international
nuclear industry. It reveals the many ways in which Australia facilitates the
industry's advancement, and in particular the role the Australian Government plays
in the development of nuclear power in Asia. In publishing this report, Greenpeace
hopes to expand the nuclear debate in Australia, and see it encompass more than
just arguments over uranium exports. The uses to which Australia allows this
uranium to be put, and the wider involvement of Australia in the international
nuclear industry, must also be examined.
