THE CHURCHES AND THE NUCLEAR DEBATE The nuclear debate continues and churches are being increasingly drawn into it. Judgements, opinions and questions multiply as more and more people discover the energy problem in particular. Already the debate has in many countries become polarized and the rival claims and counter-claims are often difficult to evaluate. This leaves many perplexed about the right course of action. This issue of Anticipation makes available recent W .C. C. reflections on the nuclear issue as well as new and important contributions from churches, Christian study groups and individuals in different countries.
