FOREWORD This is the fifth issue of a periodic computer-based listing of civilian nuclear power reactors, presenting the situation as of 1 May 1979. As far as possible, the basic design data for all reactors in operation, under construction, planned and shut down have been included, so that the publication can give a clear picture of the technical progress achieved. The information contained has been submitted to various national authorities to confirm its correctness. If any errors are spotted by readers, the Agency would be grateful for being notified, so that future issues can give the corrected information. It is hoped that the book will be useful to nuclear power planners, nuclear system designers, nuclear plant operators and interested professional engineers and scientists.
