Nuclear Power Safety Report

Introduction

In 1983, nuclear reactors proved again to be an unreliable, expensive and
potentially very dangerous source of power. For the fifth year in a row, Public
Citizen's Critical Mass Energy Project has examined official records of the
Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to determine a crucial aspect of the
nuclear industry - the safety of operating plants.
