LLR&H 2000 Conference Resolutions

1. To ask politicians, scientists and delegates to protest vigorously at the repression
of information about current and predictable incidence of cancer in Belarus as a
resultof the Chernobyl accident and in particular to allow Dr Bandazhevsky to
continue his work

2. To call for the decontamination of nuclear installation sites

3. To call for a ban on depleted uranium (DU) weapons and the use of DU
by military and civilian designers and manufacturers

4. To call for the World Health Organisation agreement with the International
Atomic Energy Authority to be amended to include health damage by discharges
and emissions from all nuclear plants

5. To re-affirm the utility of collective dose as an important tool in quantifying
and identifying radiological detriment to health

Agreed at the plenary session on Sunday 16th July with 50 delegates present.
