IMPACT AT THE RADIOBIOLOGIC INTERFACE

Where the Action Is

This book is about people, people as targets, and the impact on them of ionizing
radiation in the Nuclear Age, Impact on the biological molecules in any part of
the human body cell and on our tissues, organs and selves, mostly.

All this has Impact, too, on society, on national security -inside the USA and
internationally - on our thinking, mores, and ethics, in education, church and
politics, on the street and in the marketplace as well as within the family;
Impact on the global community and on humanity itself.

Nuclear physics has given us power- almost absolute power, and exposed us
to hazards-human hazards now and forever; and a wholesome ratio of costs
and benefits.

This book offers no answers;

And one medical dictum:

Primum non nocere; first of all to do no harm.

A PHYSICIAN'S INTRODUCTION TO THE MEDICAL MANAGEMENT OF RADIATION RECIPIENTS
