Concord Films Council Ltd Concord Films Council was started in 1959 by Eric Walker and Lydia Vulliamy and is now the largest 16 mm Educational Film Library of documentaries, animated films and feature-length productions dealing with contemporary issues, both at home and abroad. It is registered as a Charity and as such is not itself a propaganda organisation. The films are selected primarily to promote discussion, for instruction and for training, many being used in the course of education or for training for the Health Service or other Social Services. Concord may be regarded as a collection of film libraries because in addition to the film titles acquired for the Concord Library, the Council also distributes films for about 200 other bodies. Such films have the name of the promoting organisation shown in small capital letters after the title. The addresses of some of these bodies are given at the end of the Catalogue as they may be able to supply back-up material or offer speakers.
