1997 no nukes asia forum introduction & background THE NUCLEAR FREE PHILIPPINES COALITION will host the 5th No Nukes Asia Forum on September 2-5, 1997 at the university of the Philippines Diliman, Quezon City, Phils. The Forum will be preceded by a sustainable Energy conference with Asian NGOs on September 1, 1997 sponsored by the SOUTHEAST ASIA ENERGY CAMPAIGN OF GREENPEACE INTERNATIONAL in cooperation with NFPC. The Forum will bring together non-governmental organizations and grassroots representatives from at least nine countries in Asia that are currently the recipients of aggressive and systematic marketing campaign by nuclear industries and agencies advocating for the adoption of the nuclear option for countries in Asia for its energy requirements.
