Description | One of the arguments used that Tc-99 cannot be treated on land is that the nuclear waste agency, Nirex, would not issue a 'Letter of Comfort' indicating that the resulting waste would be accepted in a future waste repository. Nirex was said to have serious technical concerns over the waste, including its salt content. |
