Ad Hoc Group on International Energy Relations Progress Report: Special Project to Develop a Comprehensive Outlook on Global Energy Demand and Supply among Non-Member Countries. (Note by the Secretariat) BACKGROUND 1. An initial report on this Special Project was made at the AHGIER meeting held on 5 October 1989 [IEA/IER (89) 3.5]. This paper reports progress since that time. It takes the form of an Overview of findings to date with respect to the various principal aspects of the study, and is introduced by a Preliminary Analysis of indicators encountered thus far. These latter could become central elements of the argument we win present upon completion of this comprehensive examination of evolving energy demand and supply trends among non-OECD countries.
