PREFACE

In 1974, the Nordic Radiation Protection Institutes published a Joint Statement.
In 1975, we published a critique of this Joint Statement. The cover pages for
these reports are reproduced on the preceding page. On May 30, 1975, Dr Bo Lindell,
Director of the Swedish Radiation Protection Institute, distributed a criticisms of
our critique. In this Revisited critique, we present our major points in a logical
manner and supply additional details. In so doing, we demonstrate that our original
criticism was valid. In fact, we are even able to demonstrate that a recent
development, the emergence of the carbon-14 problem, reinforces the basis
of our original criticisms.

We would like to make one point here. In his criticism of our critique, Dr Lindell
seems to be implying that because his position is between that of the proponents and
opponents of nuclear power, that it is correct. We feel that history demonstrates that
the middle position, while often politically expedient, is seldom, if ever correct.
