EXCERPTS FROM CONCLUSIONS OF MAJOR TECHNICAL REPORTS WITH REGARD TO THE FEASIBILITY OF WASTE STORAGE AND DISPOSAL International organisations, governmental and non-governmental organisations have issued a number of reports of studies on the management of radioactive wastes. The overwhelming majority of these reports concludes that radioactive waste management, including storage and disposal of the wastes, can be accomplished safely with today's technology, with no significant public health or environmental effects. Summaries of these conclusions concerning waste storage and disposal feasibility are provided below.
