1 PURPOSE The purpose of this document is to establish procedures for the organisation and control of radioactive waste sea dumping operations carried out under the NEA Mechanism. These procedures are designed to ensure the safe disposal of the radioactive waste in such a way that any radiation exposure is kept as low as reasonably achievable within designated dose limits, and that other risks are also adequately controlled.
