Dear Friends,

Please find enclosed, for your information, a report which was released by
Greenpeace in Vienna earlier this week. The report "The IAEA File, 1992", is the
second annual report on the activities of the International Atomic Energy Agency,
the United Nations body mandated to promote nuclear energy. The report is part
of a continuous campaign to have the promotional and regulatory functions of the
agency separated.

The report concentrates on 4 major topic, the IAEA's failure to act over RBMK
reactors, the IAEA's statements on renewable energy, the IAEA's inability to
act on the massive surplus of plutonium world-wide and finally the inadequacy
of the international Liability regime.
