RESULT 1986 This year, 1986, has seen the conclusion of start-up at the CREYS-MALVILLE Plant, confirming that this world-prototype was capable of the performance anticipated. This is a great success for those who have participated for a long time, in the saga of the fast-breeders. It still remains to perfect improvements on the installation, by eliminating teething troubles. 1987 must be the year of the first experience of consistent production in spite of various shutdowns still necessary for the adjustment of the start-up core, and the last overall tests. A sound availability is effectively the condition necessary for the demonstration which is now underway; the results of the production of electricity will be thus added to that of the 1986 start-up, which was already promising.
