Uit de publicatie:
Incidents, technical divergences and releases at the Ranger Uranium Mine 1980-1998 The Ranger Uranium Mine is located inside Kakadu National Park and is operated by Energy Resources Australia (ERA). The company and the Australian Government maintain that the operation has had no environment impact. This paper uses data from the federal Office of the Supervising Scientist (OSS) to show that there is a long and continuing history of leaks, spills and breaches from the mine. These incidents highlight a deficiency in the philosophy and practise of environment protection in the region. This paper was compiled by Friends of the Earth Australia and updated by the Australian Conservation Foundation July 1999
