The subject of the Energy & Power Plants 1986 trade fair is the large-scale generation and transmission of electrical energy. The planned construction of a number of new power stations in the Netherlands, will create a very large market for Dutch as well as foreign industry, amounting to some fl. 20 billion in the coming decade. The object of the trade fair and the accompanying congress programme is to give a clear picture of the technological ability and competitive strength of Dutch industry. As chairman of the honory committee, I wish all participants in this trade fair and the symposia an interesting and succesfull time.
