Sometimes the purpose of art is to illustrate some aspect of the company's image and occasionally there is also true cultural awareness which endorses the value of what is 'vulnerable'. For others art is merely an aspect of interior decoration and adds the finishing touch to the company's furnishings. Finally, there are also componies who opt for art quite openly and without ulterior motives, simply because they like it. When an artist is commissioned to create a work of art he and his client enter into a very special relationship. One of the conditions for this relationship is that both are curious about the other's motives and that some sort of challenge is involved. The working process requires commitment and effort from both sides. This will lead to greater and better insight into the quality of both the process and the result, and this in turn will gradually deepen the relationship.
