ERF description: Loss of position indication of Ram 'C' in the DM power fuelling machine, while fuelling was in progress, but ram movement was not affected. The technical specification of completing the fuel string movement within 20 minutes could not be complied with.
BASIS FOR RATING: The event is classified under A-2P. All safety functions were available and only Ram-C position indication had failed but the ram was operable, but failure is possible. Though there is no rating under A-2P, level 0 was chosen since technical specification limit on this for completion of fuel string movement could not be complied with. Though there was no fuel failure due to the time delay in completing fuel string movement there was a probability of fuel failure occurring.
