ERF description: At 00.55 hrs of 12.12.91 alarm appeared in the moderator panel indicating 'Moderator Dump Tank Sump Level Low'. Partial dumping took place as per logic, to make up the sump level. The reduction in power due to the partial dumping caused shrinkage of the Primary Heat Transport system resulting in tripping of the reactor on low PHT pressure. Possible local disturbance in level measurement coupled with slightly lower level in dump tank had caused this event. The event can be rated as Level '0' under A-1R of the table in user's manual.
