ERF description: It was said on 15.10.92 that Ignalina 2 had been shut down in connection with possible coolant leakage in the drum separator compartment. On 16.10.92 access to this compartment became possible and a crack 3:10 mm length was discovered on the elbow of the pipe of reactor channel 32-34 to the drum separator. On 19.10.92 the damaged part of the pipe was replaced by a new one. The reasons for the crack in basic material of the pipe are under investigation in NPP laboratory.
