On 7.2.95, tritium activity in boiler feed water showed an upward trend indicating a small steam generator (SG) leak. After further check-up it was concluded that SG tube leak was in boiler no. 5 After the corresponding loop was isolated, the activity came down gradually and reached the original back ground value on 14.2.95. The unit is kept operating with the affected loop isolated. Total discharge to the environment during the period was within the Technical Specification limit.
