ERF description: During the unit 1 annual shut-down for refuelling a filter has been discovered on a draining circuit of the reactor cavity.
This filter, installed during the last outage period, should have been dismantled before the start up of the plant in 1991.
The presence of this filter could affect the efficiency of the recirculation process in certain hypothetical situations.
This event is classified at level 2.
Units 2 and 3 at the site are not affected. The operation of unit 4 is stopped for 24 hours for inspection and complementary work. Similar investigations are performed on other French nuclear power plants (PWRs).
