ERF description: On January 18 Unit 1 of the Ignalina NPP has been shut down because of the leakage rated 1.5 l/min. which was detected in one of the Reactor Building Rooms. In accordance with the design procedure this leakage has been removed to the existing leakage collection system without its intruding the serviceable areas of the unit. The off-site and on-site radiological situation has not changed. After the reactor cooldown additional information about the damage will be available.
