INADVERTENT CLOSURE OF MSIV GENERATED SI SIGNAL FOLLOWED BY REACTOR TRIP

At 10.22 sudden closusre of the Main Steam Isolation Valve (MSIV) generated Safety Injection (SI) signal which actuated reactor scram Loop no. 1. MSIV closure resulted in increased steam flow from the Steam Generator no. 2 and drop of the Loop no.2 Steam Line Pressure below the setpoint for SI loop No. 1. MSIV closure at "fast speed" was caused by the loss of power to the MSIV Solenoid Valves. The reason was a deteriorated fuse FD 60 on the 125 V DC power supply. The reactor scram sequence went on according to the design and all the safety systems were fully available. The NPP was stablized in hot standby mode.
