| Beschrijving | Iraq is now "at least five years away" from serial production of centrifuges for uranium enrichment, according to a German expert who met with Iraqi centrifuge design engineers in Baghdad two years ago. In an interview with NuclearFuel held in Munich on December 17, Bruno Stemmler, a former centrifuge expert at the firm MAN Technologien GmbH. which develops and builds centrifuges for Encore, said Iraq acquired blueprints for centrifuges which "strongly resemble* the design specifications of G-1, Urenco's first-generation centrifuge. |
