ASN Report on the state of nuclear safety and radiation protection in France in 2024 This report, which describes the state of nuclear safety and radiation protection in France in 2024, was drawn up by the French Authority for Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection (ASNR). ASNR was itself created from the merging on 1 January 2025 of the Nuclear Safety Authority (ASN) and the Institute for Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety (IRSN). The Commission and the departments speak on behalf of ASN concerning the year 2024, and on behalf of ASNR when it comes to more general considerations or projections
