THE ACTIVITY OF "MAMA-86", WOMEN'S ENVIRONMENTAL NGO 1997-1998 The women's environmental organization "MAMA-86" after seven years of hard and intensive work has developed into a professional group. Several young mothers with higher education founded it in autumn 1990. The initial concept - the post-Chernobyl accident problem is much more extensive than the 30km area around it. The tactics of the organization was always one and the same reflected in the following slogan: "To influence the environmental awareness of mothers and whole families via immediate help provided by the organization to their children". That means we have constantly united educational, informative and research activity with practical work aimed at children and their mothers. The Consulting Center of Conscious Parenthood and the "Ecotelephone" informational service are contributing greatly to the further development of the tradition established by the former laboratory at "MAMA-86", where about 4000 children of Kyiv were previously tested on health for free. ДІЯЛЬНІСТЬ ЖІНОЧОЇ ЕКОЛОГІЧНОЇ ОРГАНІЗАЦІЇ "МАМА-86" 1997 – 1998 За 7 років свого існування жіноча екологічна організація "МАМА-86" пройшла досить довгий і складний шлях до професіоналізації. Створена восени 1990 року мамами з університетською освітою, організація починала з ідеї, що проблема Чорнобиля набагато ширша, ніж 30-километрова зона. Тактика організації загалом завжди відповідала гаслу: "Через безпосередню допомогу дітям впливати на екологічну свідомість їх мам та родин." Це означає, що ми завжди поєднували просвітницьку, інформаційну та дослідницьку діяльність з практичними діями на допомогу дітям та мамам. Наш консультативний центр свідомого батьківства та гаряча лінія "Еко-телефон" продовжують кращі традицїі лабораторії "МАМА-86", яка обстежила за nопередні роки свого існування близька 4000 київських дітей безкоштовно.
