Explanatory Note

This model is intended to provide guidance for the preparation of an attachment
pertaining to a location or locations of nuclear material in a State outside its
facility or facilities.

Code 1. If there is only one location, the requisite information will be recorded
on page 1 of the attachment, but if more than one location is involved, information
pertaining to the code should be annexed on a separate sheet. Such information
should include the purpose for which the nuclear material at each location is used.

Code 7.3 The amount of nuclear material in the location(s) will normally warrant
one inspection a year, but the number of man-days for that one inspection would
depend on the number of locations and the distances between them.
