ERF description: On 13-5-92 generation suddenly came down to 60 MWe from 90 MWe, reactor pressure came down to 69 kg/cm2 and emergency condenser shell side water level went to off scale. Emergency condenser loop A was isolated and generation improved to 90 MWe and all parameters got normalised. Sudden failure of tube bundle of loop A of emergency condenser is suspected. Unit operation was continued with emergency condenser loop A isolated. Due to the incident, 11.94 curies radioactivity got released through the emergency condenser vent, which, when averaged over one day comes out to be 0.138 mci/sec and are well within Techspecs limit.
