ERF description: According to physical startup program signal output of the intermediate range chamber of NIS train was connected to the reactor parameter monitoring system. Therefore power ascension to the intermediate range required withdrawal of the source range chambers one by one. While the personnel was being engaged in this activity and in change of operation mode of make-up water system, reactor power increased to 2%. Following detection of this reactor power was reduced to the procedural level by the personnel. The event had no safety consequences.
