ERF description: During routine on-line refueling of fuel channel 50 - 12, failure of refueling machine's equipment occurred, that prevented to complete refueling cycle. The unit was shut down by normal way for machine's repair. Now the repair of the machine is completed and tests of the refueling machine are in progress.
There was no release of radioactive materials nor radiation exposure to any personnel.
The provisional event rating is 0.
Justification of rating. Off-site and on-site impact criteria are not appropriate for the event rating. The event is rated under the degradation of defence in depth criterion. There was no real initiator, so Table 1 is applicable. Because safety function availability is regarded as "full", line A is appropriate and gives the basic rating of level 0. The addtional factors and final rating will be considered after investigations have been completed.
