The lost package between France and Autria has subsequently be found and deliverd to its recipient in Autria.
On September 1st, 2006, an excepted package containing radioactive material for radiopharmaceutical use has been lost during its transport between Roissy CDG airport and the consignee located in Wien (Austria).This package consigned by CIS bio international (France) contains a limited quantity of I125 (a total of 258 KBq). The liquid radioactive material is bottled in a plastic flask. The package weights 1,9 kg and its size is 44x22x22 cm.The competent authority of France has informed the competent authorities of Austria and notified this event to the International atomic energy agency (IAEA).Due to the loss of this radioactive package, the competent authority of France rated this event as level one on the INES scale.
